Our Mission

Prayer has always precipitated the greatest moves of God throughout history. We find that at the darkest moments in time God has raised up communities of believers who are emboldened with hope to stand in spiritual defiance to their present reality. They call upon God until His government is established in the earth. Without question He is doing it again in this generation.

“When principles that run against your deepest convictions begin to win the day, then battle is your calling, peace has become sin; you must, at the price of dearest peace, lay your convictions bare before friend and enemy, with all the fire of your faith.” –Abraham Kuyper

PRAYER AND WORSHIP

The Justice House of Prayer DC is strategically located at a major cultural gate of the nation. From here we take seriously the scriptural mandate to, first of all, pray for those in governmental authority (1 Ti 2:1–4). It is our conviction that Capitol Hill is the ideal place for the church to establish and sustain ongoing worship and prayer with a unified declaration that, “There’s a hill above Capitol Hill.” In the face of injustice, we cry out in prayer for God’s will to be established in the earth as it is in heaven (Mt 6:9-10). What a privilege to join our hearts and voices with Jesus the Great Intercessor. Intercession is the supreme vocation.

COMPASSION AND JUSTICE

Revival and reformation go together like a hand in a glove. The law of the land is worth fighting for, and so is the individual human heart. We join our prayers and intercession with a compassionate outreach to those around us who desperately need to know Jesus as Savior.

“There are moments in history when a door for massive change opens and great revolutions for good or evil spring up in the vacuum created by these openings. In these divine moments, key men and women and even entire generations risk everything to become the hinge of history, the pivotal point that determines which way the door will swing.” –Lou Engle
